"Clearwater paragliding"

Willy & Siggy, I have been trying to get back into work since I was in Clearwater. It has been very difficult to do after the experience I had. I have viewed all kinds of beautiful scenery in the Clearwater area... the rivers... the falls... the lakes.. and NOTHING compares to the whole experience I felt when I was in the air. Peace. It was so quiet..I have ever felt anything like this before. And it was so personal.. one on one.. no one else around except the eagles. Willy is an amazing guide who make you feel comfortable right from the start... and the same goes for his wife Siggy. They are both so calming and make the whole paragliding experience that much greater!! DOWN TO EARTH EXPERIENCE..COME AND FLY

This was so Fun, in a beautiful spot!! It's unlike anything else you could do and I highly recommend it. Also, Willy and X Sky Paragliding are great people, experienced and clearly love what they do, which adds a great deal to the experience :)

Wij hadden vorig jaar het geluk om een tandem vlucht te kunnen maken in Clearwater. In het Wells Gray park konden we met Willy (Belgische instructeur) mee. Eerst het checken van de "cumulus wolken" en wij op weg naar de take off! Het klaarmaken van de parachute en ondertussen de eerste instructies. Safety first - check en dubbel check wanneer we ons klaarmaken om te starten. En dan was het zover. Janneke we zijn ermee weg. Walk walk - Run - Run en dan vliegen boven Clearwater!!! Willy , ondertussen bijna 1000 vluchten, weet waarmee hij bezig is! Top Instructeur. Na de schitterende "Smooth flight" de perfecte landing. Een aanrader voor iedereen. Wij gaan zeker terug!

Paragliding is an amazing experience! The view is great and you see it from a birds view! Thank you to Willy! Very nice instructor and a good person to communicate with. He explains the prodecures very clearly and he has lots of experience. The flight is smooth! Must try! Price also includes pictures and videos!

When you come to the Rockies for hiking or just to enjoy the beautiful mountains. You have to see these mountains from an eagle`s view! Really, you have to! This was an amazing experience!! Thx captain Willy for the very professional flight!

Do you want to make your awesome trip to canada perfect? Then go to clearwater and go paragliding with x sky paragliding! This is one of the best experience I ever had. You drive up on a mountain to a beautifull sightseeing place. While you enjoy an amazing view the instructor is setting up the equipment. Then you get a short but very informative instruction (it's really easy!) and then you run of the mountain and you get to fly like a bird! The flight itself is very relaxing, the instructor is a very experienced paraglider who has a very relaxed yet very energetic personality! You get to see the area around clearwater the same way a bird does! And let me tell you one thing, its a astonishing view! So if you happen to visit the area around clearwater then you have to make some free time to go paragliding, you will not regret it 1 second!

What a great way to add excitement to your holiday. It is absolutely the most exciting thing I have ever done. I've always wanted to do something like paragliding. Willie is an excellent pilot who is always concerned with safety and givent hosts, making a day of flying the best experience that it can be. And what aing the best experience that he can. Very professional. Willie is a heli-ski guide in the winter so extreme sports are in his blood. Willie and his wife Sigrid are both excell great way to spend your time in Clearwater. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours at the hill with a snack or lunch, water and sunscreen. There is a corner grocery store that sells fruit, water etc. This is not a day for families with young children (toddler-12).

I woke up on a Friday morning last summer and felt like I needed to do something to get my heart pumping and signed up to go paragliding with Willy the next morning. I am SO happy I did. Willy and his driver went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed every part of this experience. I got to learn about some of the small town locals in the area while we headed up the mountain from the meeting place. This was such an amazing experience! Once we took off, adrenaline quickly turned to peace and serenity while we flew through the sky. There are no words to describe how amazing this experience is. I was also very happy that Willy took e-transfer as payment! Thank you for this wonderful experience. I’ve been recommending it to everyone who tells me they want to try something new! I highly recommend X Sky Paragliding and hope to go again!

Thank you Willy for the best adventure on our final day of vacation. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. This was a great experience and to do that in great capable hands made it even more exciting. Your knowledge of the sport shows through in how you take care of your flight attendees. This is something we will for sure be doing again and again. Now we just need to move where the mountains are.

Willy - made my two daughters ages 15 & 12 - very comfortable and calmed their nerves and both did tandem paragliding off of a cliff at 2000 feet above ground level. Willy is an all rounder with deep appreciation of the mountains that he heli-skis, paraglides and does very many other things. Even if you do not plan on paragliding have a chat with Willy and you will get a sense of his adventure and also his humble demeanor. I would definitely go back and visit him - hopefully soon

I was lucky enough to try out tandem paragliding with X Sky Paragliding for my very first time. It was just AWESOME! Willy is an extremely professional pilot and I felt 100 % safe at any time - from the preparation right through to the landing. The flight was nothing but a tremendous joy. It is very peaceful, quiet and just very, very beautiful out there and up in the air. I give this experience my two thumbs up for sure! In fact, I'm considering now to become a pilot myself. That's how nice it was!

I couldn't believe how incredible this experience was! I felt so safe with Willy as we did a tandem flight over the valley. I loved seeing things below from the perspective of a bird; it really was surreal. I would highly recommend this activity to friends and family, as it is an experience you won't soon forget!

Willy gaf ons duidelijke instructies waar we moesten zijn en wat we moesten aandoen. Meer voorbereid konden we niet zijn voor een eerste vlucht :). Sigi en Willy's enthousiasme kon onze zenuwen verminderen zodat we enkel nog maar konden genieten!! Het was super plezant en zeker de moeite waard om zelf eens te gaan paragliden. Willy zelf is een topkerel, grappig, vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.

Paragliding with Willy was one of the best things I've ever done! He is a great guy who matched or exceeded my enthusiasm for how awesome paragliding is! The whole experience top to bottom is, world class and I would not hesitate to do it again, and I wouldn't go anywhere else than X Sky. Our flights lasted around 30min and it was 30min of pure bliss, the relaxation of flying was truly awe-inspiring.

I am left speechless. Willy made this experience one of the most remarkable experiences I have ever had, he's so friendly and easy to talk to. If you have ever went sky diving - let me be the first to tell you paragliding is 100x better. It is so relaxing and peaceful. Not too mention it gives you the slightest idea of what it feels like to fly like a bird - we've all wondered. Paragliding over the Thompson-Nicola valley provides you with 20-30 minutes of breath taking views - from rivers, mountains, tree-tops - this experience will surely give you a sight you'll never unsee. Willy is also super knowledgable about aerodynamics and meteorology - both really fun topics to pick his brain about during your flight if you're someone who jumps on learning opportunities!

We searched for activities while in Clearwater and saw Xskyparagliding. Coincidentally, paragliding was one of my son’s wish list. So when I chances upon this activity in the internet we booked right away for my son. And they did not disappoint. Willie, my son’s paragliding pilot was soo nice and very accommodating. He took care of my son from the time they departed until they landed. Good choice indeed as my son had a very memorable time in Clearwater. Thanks to Willie and his team😊

Exhilarating yet peaceful!

Everyone should experience this at least once. I just took a flight with the excellent Willy a couple of hours ago, and the adrenaline is still pumping! It was exhilarating while at the same time peaceful, soaring through the air. Willy is extremely knowledgeable, careful and reassuring - I admit I was nervous - he told me that's completely normal, and that I could do it. He was right, and I'm so glad I did. Woohooo!

You are standing on the edge of a mountain side drop-off as you admire and anxiously await the plunge....the plunge of a quick stride into a bird's eye view of the landscape below. The magical feeling of being one with your wing and co-pilot as you head into the wind, along the mountain side, floating effortlessly. Team Willy and Sigi brought the personal touch to the entire experience. From professionalism, educating and explaining the entire process as well as answering any questions and concerns before, during and after flight. Safety was paramount and evident from start to finish. This definitely made the experience reassuring and comforting. Team Willy's and Sigi's enthusiasm for paragliding is inspiring and motivating!! A go-pro video and photos are included with the flight on a spectacular USB/business card combo souvenir! Recommendations: earlier flights in the day are smoother/less turbulent while afternoon flights tend to be more turbulent/exhilarating and have the potential for longer air times with the thermals. If you're feeling bold - asking to steer the wing will definitely add that extra thrill! Thank you so much Team Willy and Sigi!!!

I'm sixteen and it was my first time flying. I felt very safe the entire time, the weather was fabulous and I thought it was like going a ride but a thousand times better! as soon as we landed on the ground it couldn't have been more than a couple seconds before I said that I wanted to go six thousand times more. I can not wait till I can go again, it was the highlight of my summer! Thanks so much Willy.

Paragliding with Xsky! Wow! It's something I have always wanted to do and so I was over the moon to hear that Xsky were offering rides out of Clearwater, or Birch Island to be precise. Anyone leaving terra firma will have nervous moments but everything was so well organized that the whole trip was pure heaven! The silence as you glide along the river valley was one of the most sublime experiences I have ever had! It is an experience you will never forget - I know I won't! As you drift from one thermal to another you feel like you have joined an elite club. I can't think of any other experience that would compare. From the outset it was obvious that Willy is a very experienced instructor and that you are in very good hands. Clearwater hosts some fabulous experiences but paragliding tops the lot!

We had a wonderful morning with Willy and his friends. The jump is a bit exciting, but when you are flying it is just wonderful. We enjoyed every minute of it. Because we didn't fly at the same moment we were able to make pictures of each other. Afterwards, we got great pictures of ourselves in the air. Willy is very responsible and explains clear what you have to do.

Had an absolute blast with Willy and Sigi! They operate a very professional and fun experience. It is a short 8km drive up to the take off zone in their new crew cab truck. Willy spends one on one time explaining exactly what is going to happen on takeoff and during flight so there are no surprises. It is exhilaratring and worth the time to do this activity. The harness is very comfortable in flight and allows you to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains and river valley bottom. Willy also will take pictures and video of your flight as well on a go pro so you have a keep sake of your experience. Don't hesitate to do this, it is an unforgettable experience!

Een fantastische ervaring beleefd, zowel wat betreft de paragliding zelf als het contact met de mensen die achter deze activiteit staan. Wij hebben Willy (de Belgische piloot van het glijscherm) leren kennen via een sympathieke Belgische verkoper van o.a. lekkere wafels die zich genesteld heeft aan de Spahats-falls in het Wells Gray PP. Punctueel verscheen Willy op de plaats van afspraak (Dee's General Store, Birch Island, Clearwater) en voerde hij ons de bergen in naar de plaats van vertrek. Alhoewel het scherm reeds uitgerold was en mijn vrouw aangekleed om als eerste te vertrekken, vond Willy het niet raadzaam om gelet op de wijzigende weersomstandigheden alsnog te vertrekken. Op ons voorstel was hij zonder enige bijkomende kost bereid te herkansen twee dagen later. Een gelukkige beslissing. Twee dagen later waren de weersomstandigheden goed en heeft Willy ons op professionele wijze bijzondere momenten laten beleven in een glijvlucht boven de meanders van de rivier en de bossen op de helling van de berg. Door de uiterst deskundige aanpak hebben we ons bij deze ervaring nooit onveilig gevoeld, in tegendeel. Willy en zijn vrouw Sigrid zijn aangename, optimistische mensen die duidelijk de veiligheid bij deze activiteit boven het financiële aspect stellen en die ons een onvergetelijke ervaring hebben bezorgd. Een sterke aanrader voor reizigers die in deze contreien vertoeven en die de mooie omgeving ook eens tijdens een aangename kick in vogelperspectief willen zien. Tijdens de vlucht stelt Willy een GoPro ter beschikking om jezelf en de omgeving te filmen en te fotograferen. Nogmaals bedankt.
