Fly intro

Dip your toes in, lets try this out shall we! Half day adventure.

If you want to experience how fun and easy it is to pull a wing over your head and control it, this is for you.

You get to wear a harness that connects to the wing and practice take off skills in a field. HANDS ON. A steep learning curve in this intro session as you will learn about tips and tricks on take off procedures.

After two hours of ‘kiting the wing’ we shuttle you up the mountain where a certified pilot takes you up for a real tandem flight experience where you get a chance to steer the wing, learn how the paraglider flies and is controlled. Experience turns and pitch control. Be guided through approach and landing technique.

We debrief the 4 hour personalized session and answer any questions you have with a refreshing drink.

How long does it take to become a certified solo paraglider pilot?

It takes 3-5 days for a P1 course plus a 10-15 days for the P2 course.

For a total average of 13 to 20 training days.

Weather and student skill are the big factors in the amount of training days.

The P1 + P2 training courses cost you $1300 + $2000 = $3300 total.

Can we buy gear from you?

Yes, we are a dealership for everything you need for paragliding.

Xsky Paragliding can help you choose the right paraglider, harness, reserve and flying instruments.

We highly recommend to buy your own gear after you finished your P1 course so you get used to your own wing and harness that is tailored to your build and skill. That way you can practice ground-handling on a daily basis all summer long and become confident and skilled in a accelerated way.

How much does a full flying kit cost me?

If this all seems like fun to you, start saving up your pennies. A full kit, with a new paraglider, harness, reserve parachute and helmet will cost you $4,000 to $6,500. Used equipment is less costly, but you should first ensure the equipment is safe and not worn-out before making a purchase. Xsky is a dealership and can help you in finding the right gear for you.
