Why Clearwater? We love it here!! And the flying is AMAZING!!

The Clearwater valley has mountains for days!! Having the opportunity to fly safely beside ranges like the Trophy Mountains, Raft Mountain, and Dunn Peak is phenomenal. Not to mention being able to soar above pristine rivers, flower meadows, crystal clear lakes, and wildlife roaming free!

Then there is the always wonderful waterfalls!! Wells Gray has over 40 named waterfalls, and is home to Canadaโ€™s 4th tallest waterfall: Helmcken Falls.

We have been here for over 20 years and it is still our favorite place to be. Hands down.

2 night Clearwater / Wells GRay Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive mid afternoon, check into your accommodation. Stretch the legs! Take a little walk into Spahats Falls to get your waterfall appetite started, or perhaps just head to Dutch Lake for a swim to refresh yourself after the drive.

Local tip: Head to the Gateway Grill for some Local eats and brews! Or the Painted Turtle for views that will get your brain into holiday mode!

Day 2 morning

Rise and shine to the sound of birds chirping and adventure awaiting! Letโ€™s go flying! Meet Willy at Dees Store in Birch Island and get ready to soar with the birds! Drive up the mountain road (keep an eye out for wildlife!), take in the views while Willy goes over your gear and the takeoff procedures and then its time to fly!!

Land at Dees General store and grab a cold drink and an ice-cream while you daydream about what you have just accomplished!

Local Tip: Grab a bagged lunch from Wild Flower Cafe, the sourdough queen!

Day 2 afternoon

After a morning of flying with the birds lets catch the Sunset in Wells Gray! Walk into Dawson Falls to get up close and feel the power of the water. Next finish a great day with a sunset at Helmcken Falls! Maybe even catch the rainbow.

Local Tip: A day filled with adventure pairs perfectly with a cold one and brisket from the Hop N Hog!

Day 3

Have a leisure morning or head off early and hike into Moul Falls! A great half day hike before departing home or to your next adventure.

Local Tip: Bring your swim suite and walk behind the waterfall!!
