How safe is it?

Safety is # 1. This is a one on one instructional flying adventure with a focused safety briefing. Paragliding is a flying sport, all flying sports are inherently risky. Before flying you will be asked to sign a waiver to make sure that you understand the risks involved.

What to bring?

Bring some good footwear (running / hiking shoes), something that gives you good ankle support, as you are required to do a short run on take-off.  Also bring a warm jacket and long pants to wear. We provide the helmet, goggles and gloves.

How fast do we land?

A paraglider approaches fast but slows down for a very soft landing.

Any weight restrictions?

The minimum weight for a passenger is 27 kg / 60 lbs, the maximum 120kg / 260 lbs.

How do we get to the launch area ?

We provide free transport from the landing zone at Birch Island to El Nido flying site launch area in a new comfortable full crew pick up truck.

How long does it take?

Allow about 1 ½ - 2 hours for the round trip – that is from the time we pick you up to the time you will be back.

How long are we in the air?

Average flying time on the paraglider is 15 - 30 min. We rely on Mother Nature, so it can vary quite a bit. Sometimes the flights are longer than average, sometimes a bit shorter.

When is the best time to fly?

May to September is the best time to fly - weather dependent.

Am I guaranteed a flight?

As our activity is weather dependent, we would recommend booking your paragliding experience earlier during your stay in Clearwater rather than later. This increases your chances of flying. The pilot who makes a weather assessment will decide if the conditions are favorable for the flight. If the weather precludes us from taking off and landing safely, we will try to reschedule your flight for a better time.

Can we fly together?

At this time we can only take 1 passenger at a time, but we can do multiple trips! Ask for more details.
